IEC or Importer Exporter Code iis a unique 10 digit code issued by DGFT — Director General of Foreign Trade, the government of India to Indian companies. IEC code is mandatory when you want to import or export in India. No person or entity shall make any export or import without IEC code number. For IEC code any company can apply to the designated regional office of DGFT.

IEC Code Number application fee of Rs. 250.00
To receive instant IEC number pay via EFT — Electronic Fund Transfer as the physical application can take up to 15 days.

Two copies of the application (Aayaat Niryaar Form ANF 2A) to submit to your regional Jt.DGFT office.
Each individual pages need to be signed by the applicant.
Part 1 & Part 4 need to be filled by all applicants in the case of electronic applications submission.
No hard copies of part 1 are required.
Fill only relevant portions of Part 2
Bank Receipt/Demand Draft or EFT details of application fee payment of Rs. 250.00 as per the terms of Appendix 21B.
Certificate from the Banker of the applicant firm as per the Appendix 18A format.
Self-certified copy of PAN — Permanent Account Number card issued by the Income Tax Authority.
2 copies of the applicant passport size photograph duly attested by the Banker of the applicant.
A self-addressed envelope with postal stamp of Rs.25/- for delivery of IEC certificate by registered post or challan of Rs.100/- for speed post.
